SafePlug® Upgrade Tags (Model 1051-1064)
Adds safety information to an existing electrical plug (RightPlug™ technology). Upgrade tags enable a SafePlug receptacle to provide both appliance overload and shock protection.
Tags communicate appliance power and current rating to a SafePlug receptacle.
Before installing a tag, identify your appliance power or current rating (Amps/Watts). Select one of 13 tags that best matches the appliance rating.
Note: For an appliance to receive power from a SafePlug receptacle it must be updated with the SafePlug Upgrade Tag that best matches its power or current rating (Amps/Watts).

For an appliance to receive power from a SafePlug receptacle it must be RightPlug™ Compliant. Look for the RightPlug symbol on your appliance plug. Appliances with the RightPlug symbol are ready to use in any SafePlug receptacle.
Appliances without the RightPlug symbol must be updated with a SafePlug Upgrade Tag that best matches its power or current rating (Amps/Watts).
1) Select your appliance and corresponding
SafePlug Tag.
2) Peel adhesive backing from the
Tag. Slide the Tag over the plug blades.
3) Press firmly to secure Tag to plug face.

For best fire and shock protection each appliance used with SafePlug receptacles must be updated with a SafePlug Upgrade Tag. To match the SafePlug Tag that is rated for your appliance check your appliances rating label (Amp or Watt). Match the rating on your appliance with the corresponding SafePlug Tag.
